Magical Coin or Pressed Penny Guide

ParkPennies.com HKDL penny press reference guides include all known Hong Kong China Disneyland (HKDL) Magical Coins or pressed "pennies". Magical coins issued on-stage and available to the general public via Magical Coin Press machines, at The Hong Kong Disneyland® Resort area are included. The HKDL Guide is divided into manageable sections by year issued, direct links are at the top left side of this page. The 2005 Limited Edition Magical Coins are additionally listed on their own page. The graphical pressed penny collection guide shows how HKDL Magical Coins relate to the rest of the Disneyland Parks coins, and the HKDL thumbnail images provide a quick overview. If you have a coin that is not listed, please contact us.

Hong Kong Disneyland Magical Coins is a fun collection, and has a manageable size as new issues are not as common as those in Tokyo Disneyland or Disneyland Anaheim. The Hong Kong Disneyland Magical Coins collection introduction talks a bit more about this Chinese set of pressed souvenirs. As you can see, if you wish to collect only these Magical Coins or all the pressed souvenirs from all the Disneyland Parks, it can be a lot of fun and if you wish, it can be a big collection too!

HKDL Hong Kong Disneyland Magical Coins are pressed on machine vended blanks or planchets which provide a very clean, high quality souvenir. They are all equal in size and appearance, and do not suffer as much from maintenance issues, governmental changes or regulations. Non-native planchet examples have been reported, however, only native planchet park issues are listed at this time.

HKDL Book 1
This is the first book offered at Hong Kong Disneyland. It does not offer a coin in the cover as do some other souvenir pressed penny books, however, we know many collectors will want to see it. All graphics are in English on this four-fold wallet style book. Each inside panel holds six coins for a total capacity of 24.
