Japanese Disney Store Pressed Penny Souvenir Medals link 2010+ All TDR Parks

This special pressed penny guide lists Disney Store coins from the Disney Store at the Tokyo Disneyland Resort as well as coins from other Disney Stores in Japan. Because "penny press" machines located at the Tokyo Disneyland Resort are part of the "Disneyland Guides", some pressed penny medals will have two guide numbers, one for the Disneyland Collection Guides and one for this special Disney Store collection guide. Together, they make a fun group of medals to collect, that do not require park admission.

The first Disney Store in Japan to offer "pressed pennies" was located at the Tokyo Disneyland Resort. We first added coins from that collection to our guides in 2008. At that time, there were three machines, each offering three coins each for a total of nine pressed penny medals. In early 2009, four more Disney Stores joined the Tokyo Disneyland Resort Disney Store by installing a pair of three-play "pressed penny" machines at each store.

The known locations of Disney Stores in Japan offering pressed pennies, as of October of 2009, include:
-Tokyo Disney Resort. -Sendai Toei Plaza, Aoba-ku, Sendai-Sakai. -Sendai The Mall Nagamachi, Sendai-shi, Miyagi. -Nagoya Matsuzakaya, Naka-ku, Nagoya-shi. -Hep Five shopping center, 0saka. -Shinsaibashi 0saka. -Sapporo Stellar, Sapporo City, Hokkaidō Prefecture, Japan. -The Yokohama Landmark Plaza and Queens Square, Yokohama, in the [at!] Store. -Yokohoma Sogo, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa. -Yokhama Takashimaya, Nishi-ku, Yokohama. -Aqua City Odaiba, adjacent to Odaiba Kaihin Koen / Odaiba Seaside Park. -Gotemba Premium Outlets located approximately 60 miles west of Tokyo. This Birthday Card / Stationary set was released store wide at the Disney Stores in Japan late in 2009 for 1,000 Yen. The set contains stationery × 16 sheets (2 pattern × 8 sheets), envelopes × 8 sheets (1 pattern), sticker sheets × 1, × 1 Medals... a "pressed penny"! To our knowledge, the purchase of this birthday card set is the only way to obtain this Puppet Mickey Mouse medal. Given this is an actual souvenir medal, unlike the simulated pressed medals offered in the early Tokyo Disneyland penny collecting books, the coin qualifies as part of the complete Tokyo Disneyland collection and has the guide number TDR190 and Disney Stores guide number DSJ0939.
