Above is a picture of the prototype Disneyland Resort Penny Press Collection Book Second Edition. Unlike the 1st Edition souvenir pressed penny book, this book was branded as a Disneyland Resort book rather than a Disneyland Park book. The first peak at this book was as a thumbnail image on the manufacturer's web site and we anxiously awaited it, but, it was never to be. One can speculate that this could have been the next in the series after the First Edition Souvenir Penny Collector Book.

The close up image clearly shows the DN0023 coin. A coin believed to have been exclusively engraved for this book and to have been pressed on a copper cent as was the exclusive coin in the First Edition Book. Unfortunately, in spite of the many collectors and souvenir hunters looking for a book like this, it did not make it to the park. Maybe it could have been the king of Disney Resort souvenir pressed penny books, for now, it may be the king of prototype penny books.
